Rainbow Sandals have been our go-to flip-flop in Milo for almost 20 years. Like all products, their popularity goes up and down as fashion changes year by year. But this year Rainbow has gone nuclear with the popularity of the 'Flirty Braidy'.
What started as a small operation in Laguna Beach California in 1974 has blown up into a brand known around the world. Founder Jay Longley started off making sandals in his garage. Fast forward 52 years and his sandals are arguably the most popular leather sandal in the United States.
This year the sandal with the braided leather strap has taken the world by storm. I don't know what has forced these sandals to be as big as they are, but we are happy for the folks over at Rainbow. We are big fans of independently owned companies.
